The sketch which started it off

The Journey of Light- a Tale of new found friendship

Andy posted on the forums of the Sweatdrop crew looking for people who had made their own manga, which he could translate into an animation. I was quite interested but didn't have any manga to show so I left the thread for a bit.

I checked back after a few days and I guess nothing came up which Andy could realistically use (and do justice) and more out of curiosity than anything else I decided to e-mail him some scripts I 'd written to be made into online audio dramas.

I guess there was something he liked about them but they weren't quite what he was looking for .He showed me sketch he'd done (pictured above) and suggested if I could write something like that he'd be interested. We bounced ideas about and Journey of Light came into being.

It's a story about two children (one who happens to be a cat...) who both get lost in a deep and mysterious forest. Being children they quickly make friends. Somehow (helped along by Andy’s prodding, ideas and dedication) I wrote what is probably one the best things I've ever written, with honest to goodness themes like friendship and redemption.

The animation will be about 20 minutes long (which is a lot for just one animator.), and will feature original music as well as a cast of talented voice actors. We don't have a confirmed release date yet, but you can check out the promo animation in the downloads page.
