Welcome weary traveler to the characters page!

Journey of light features a diverse cast of characters and creatures. From young Mimir setting out from home on his own for the first time, and the bubbly and gutsy Etain to the downright evil and greedy Thomas.We invite you to learn a little more about the forests inhabitants. Of course forests are mysterious places full of ancient magic so you can't glimpse everyone just yet.

(Don't look so upset some of the characters have been very cooperative if you click on their image they'll take you to their page and tell you all about themselves and how they came to be)

 

Mimir

Mimir is a young mage with a particular liking for chocolate cookies (with extra chocolate). He has command of some basic magic, and is studying hard to get better. He's almost never seen without his hat, which is a keepsake from his long lost father. He has a good head on his shoulders and always does his best to stick the advice his mother gives.

Rune

Mimir's mother is a competent sorceress who lives on the edge of the forest. They don't often venture in and usually go to the nearest town (George's Croft) for their supplies. She's a strong woman despite the mysterious loss of her husband when Mimir was very small. They moved to the cottage shortly after his disappearance.

Etain-

Etain is a bright girl who lives in the forest with her family. She's perky, curious and warm all in one. She might seem like an ordinary little girl but in some ways her innocent exterior hides a personality, which in some ways is wise beyond her years. She's very fond of toast, jam and mushrooms
Freya-Mimirs aunt. Freya is Mimir's aunt who lives in the East part of the forest. She's Runes sister and is much more gutsy than Rune. She hasn't seen Mimir for quite some time and hinted last time she saw them that she'd like a visit. Although strangely she loves to bake, it's just a shame you can't get milk in the middle of a forest.

No one has seen her for a while so we don't know what she looks like!

Max

Poor Max the hedgehog usually gets dragged into Etain's schemes and is her oldest friend. He' s usually the voice of reason, which makes Etain all the more dangerous when he's not about. He won't admit it but he loves dog food. He claims he is the king of the pointed folk ,no one believes him.
Branwen
Etain's mother is powerful and bold. She knows the forest much better than her daughter who she usually keeps close by her. Her husband is Lord of the West bank a very old and sacred position
Thomas the Sly- a very evil creature indeed! Legend tells us that he's some kind of trickster spirit. We advise anyone going for a stroll that they keep their wits about them.

Karrow

There are rumors a local celebrity named Karrow lives in a house somewhere in the woods who was known for his delicious soup. No one has seen him for years though. He's also rumored to have a bit of a temper.

WISP
Wil 'o' the wisps are spirits which lead travelers astray appearing in darkness to be lamp lights. WISP is an especially small wisp that takes orders from Thomas.
