MAX! the hedgehog Poor Max the hedgehog usually gets dragged into Etains schemes and is her oldest friend. He' s usually the voice of reason, which makes Etain all the more dangerous when he's not about. He won't admit it but he loves dog food. He claims he is the king of the pointed folk no one believes him.

Azure's comments: Max is actually the last character to be added. I wanted to give Etain an animal friend to play with. I don't know what made me give him real lines ^^ initially he had to point a bit. I then asked my brother what he should be, he suggested a hedgehog and it seemed so right!Poor guy he tries very hard to help Etain, who ignores almost everything he says!

 Max came in late in the writing & also late in the Character Design phase.
As a result Max didnt take too long to be designed as the initial 'Look' of JOL was pretty
much established by then.
I ditched the 1st drawing on the left as Rebecca felt it was a little sinister!
The 2nd & 3rd Drawing felt better and I was happy with the design so I left it as it basically is.
Max has only but a tiny Role to play in the final film.
